Goodness
In this message, Pastor Steve continues the study of the Fruit of the Spirit by exploring the biblical meaning of goodness. Through Micah 6, we discover that God has never been primarily concerned with religious performance, outward activity, or bigger sacrifices. Instead, God desires a transformed people whose lives increasingly reflect His character through justice, mercy, and humble fellowship with Him.
This message reveals that goodness is far more than simply being nice or avoiding evil. It is the Spirit-produced character of moral excellence and uprightness that actively seeks the good of others because it walks closely with God. As believers grow in communion with Christ, the Holy Spirit produces a life that reflects His goodness in everyday relationships, decisions, and actions. Because the evidence of spiritual maturity is not merely what we do for God, it is becoming the kind of people who increasingly look like Jesus.
