Gentleness
What does biblical gentleness really look like? In a culture that often mistakes gentleness for weakness, Scripture reveals something entirely different. In this message, Pastor Steve shows that gentleness is the Spirit-produced strength that willingly submits to God’s will and graciously serves others because it trusts the goodness of God. Looking at the lives of Jesus and Joseph, we’ll see that true gentleness is not the absence of strength, but strength surrendered to the Lord.
As we continue our series on the Fruit of the Spirit, we’ll discover that gentleness begins with trusting God’s character, even when His providence is difficult to understand. Because the same Spirit who empowered Christ’s perfect obedience now lives in every believer, He is producing hearts that rest in God’s goodness, submit to His will, and reflect the gentle heart of Jesus Christ.
