Do You Want to Be Healed?

In the opening message of our new series, Healed to Move, Pastor Steve walks us through the story of a man who sat paralyzed for 38 years by the pool of Bethesda. Jesus asks him a piercing question: “Do you want to be healed?”

This sermon reminds us that healing begins with desire, not just need. Too often, like the man at the pool, we get used to our dysfunction, making excuses and placing our confidence in everything but Christ. Yet Jesus knows our history, sees our condition, and still steps toward us in compassion.

As you listen, consider this question for your own life: What have you accepted as permanent that Jesus still wants to change? Healing is not found in a pool, a program, or a person; it is found in Christ alone.
